Biography:
Scientific instrument maker in Delft. Son of the Delft instrument maker Gerard Bernhard Hendrik Filbri (1811- 1883), who mostly worked for the Delft company of P.J. Kipp & Zonen. In 1875 he married Maria Willemina van der Burgh from Delft. In 1880 he continued his father’s workshop. At least the Delft Adresboekjes of 1881-1898 mentions “J.M. Filbri, instrumentmaker” at the the old address: Oosteinde 15. His mother is also mentioned here, as the widow of G.B.H. Filbri.
