Biography:
Instrument maker from Amsterdam. He made a "lactometer" (a hydrometer used to test milk in possibly 1850. This lactometer, signed A.W. Groote, was auctioned in 1906.

Collection: Museum Boerhaave Leiden (a silver weighing device).
