Biography:
Pohl was medical instrument maker in The Hague (Wagenstraat and Hofspui) from 1854. The company 'J. Pohl' (operating until 1924 and after that as Franken-Pohl) produced and sold medical instruments and articles. He was uncle of Louis Pohl.
