Biography:
Astronomical and mathematical instrument and watch maker in the Voorstraat in Utrecht, ca 1637-1675. He married in Utrecht on 18 April 1637 to Clara van Leeuwen from Bergen op Zoom.
Shortly after 1642 he delivered a telescope to the new Utrecht astronomical observatory. In 1652 he matriculated at Utrecht University.
Later he remarried Margarita Molijns. Brother of Anthony Sneewins (Delft) and Henricus Sneewins (Leiden). His daughter Sibilly Sneewins was the mother of the Leiden instrument maker Anthony Hoevenaer, who was his apprentice.
